In response to demographic changes and the vagaries of doing business in a global economy, several legislatures and amendments have been passed by the Government. Among these are the amendments to the Employment Act in relation to the coverage, maternity protection and benefits, childcare leave and pro-rating of sick leave. Accompanying these are several guidelines augmented by the Tripartite bodies in relation to Fair Employment practice, management of excess manpower and the re-employability of older workers.

Employers need to be mindful of their duty of care and not violate the law of the land. This 2-day workshop is intended to provide participants with an insight into the pertinent sections of the Employment Act which are relevant to an employer's rights and responsibilities.
