Keys To Instant Rapport - Effective Communication for Better Working Relationships - 2nd Run
Trainer: Caroline Josephine Dawson
We are in the business of building relationships! People are not necessarily difficult to deal with. They only seem difficult because we lack the skills of an appropriate communication style. You will learn the appropriate communication styles that will help avoid ineffective communication and improve work relationships. Do not let negative experiences affect your willingness to try and be assertive with anyone!
At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Understand others' communication styles and how to customise one’s communication style in people relationships.
- Identify communication barriers.
- Understand the importance of effective assertive communication at the workplace.
The approach to delivering the workshop is hands-on and skill-based throughout. The learning environment is highly interactive between the workshop leader and participants, and among the participants themselves. Peer learning from sharing experiences will be strongly encouraged. Learning methods include facilitator’s short input, group exercises and feedback, self-assessments, brainstorming, role plays and case studies related to real life applications.
