Employment Act & Its Practical Applications - 59th Run

Trainer: Noel Khng

The cornerstone to achieving an organisation’s business goals is its ability to manage and harness the talents and capabilities of its workforce. To get this right from the outset, it starts with understanding the rights and obligations of the organisation as well as the employees under Singapore’s legal framework. The Employment Act forms the basis for employees’ working terms and conditions; theirs and the organisation’s rights and obligations of employment.

It is crucial that managers, frontline supervisors and HR professionals have a working knowledge of Employment Act to ensure compliance and “doing the right thing”. A good foundation in understanding the Act will enhance employee relations and engagement. In unionised organisations, it will help build stability and harmony in labour management relationships.

This workshop is intended to provide participants with an overview of the key sections of the Employment Act which are relevant to an employer's rights and obligations.
